Rental laws vary by state

Mark Moran of the Wyoming attorney general’s office said state
law - which states that rental units need to be “reasonably safe,
sanitary and fit for human occupancy” — does not necessarily apply
to all situations.



“The obligation of the landlord to abide by the terms of this
statute require that the tenant be current in their payment,” said
